Harley Davidson showroom and garage
For showroom and garage refurbishment uitilising high definition terrestrial scanning we created a point cloud of the exterior and interior spaces of the showroom and garage that client want to refurbish.
There were no existing plans and since the original structure had been built numerous extensions had been added to garages and storerooms at rear of the space.
From the Point cloud we modelled a LOD 350 level detailed model showing all structural elements, doors, windows, stairs and atrium roof glass structural steel.
For garage spaces the machine hoist and electrical fittings were included in the model for engineers to designing new machine positions without massive changes to electrical supply.
Residential refurbishment
Half finished house completed and remodeled.
We created a complete 3D Revit model of the unfinished shell made up of structural and architectural elements by using an accurate laser scanning point cloud in recap format.
This allowed the engineers to completely understand the structural strengths of the elements built and could carefully analyze for any deformation that may have resulted from poor initial construction methods.
Utilizing the same 3D Revit model generated from the point cloud, the architects were able to understand the existing design that had been semi-completed and then modify this too the new owners wishes.
In showing the owner a 3D model of what had been partially constructed, it became far simpler for him to visualize the new home he wished for and how that could be built in the most cost efficient way without massive alterations to the structure that was half completed.
Industrial spaces
Industrial paints factory
An exiting factory warehouse space plus office building was to be refurbished to create a new home for an industrial paint manufacturing plant. Only poor-quality original building plans could be sourced and these did not include office sections added later in the buildings life.
The owners brief prepared by the project architects and engineers was to provide the following for them to do a refurbishment and refit with minimal structural change.
Provide :
- Full high definition point cloud of exterior and interior spaces with ± 3mm Accuracy
- Prepare Revit model based on point cloud of factory space showing all architectural and structural elements and all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and Fire elements.
- Prepare Revit model of existing offices space showing only architectural and structural elements.
